This research aims to highlight the role of recycling, reuse, and upcycling in interior furniture design as effective approaches for achieving environmental, economic, and social sustainability. It explores the fundamental concepts of sustainable design and reviews various techniques and classifications of reuse—whether at the level of the furniture piece itself or the raw material. The study also examines local and international experiences in this field, such as Zero-Waste Design and Slow Design, and offers scientific comparisons that clarify the differences and feasibility between recycling and upcycling, in addition to discussing practical application challenges. Adopting strategies of recycling and reuse in interior and furniture design is not limited to the environmental dimension but also brings about economic benefits, fosters creativity, and helps preserve personal or local heritage. This direction represents a convergence between design and community awareness, forming one of the key pillars of modern sustainable design. Integrating reuse, upcycling, and recycling techniques into interior design and furniture represents a core shift toward a circular economy, which reuses resources instead of discarding them, reduces natural resource depletion, enhances creativity, and creates new economic opportunities while preserving the environment and cultural identity.
