Museums are considered one of the most important cultural institutions that play a vital role in preserving heritage, disseminating knowledge and promoting cultural awareness. With the development of societies, the need arose to develop the interior spaces of museums to be more compatible with the requirements of visitors, through the application of innovative design methods that combine environmental sustainability and sensory experience. In the context of sensory architecture, the challenge is to achieve sensory-based sustainability, which means using natural elements such as solar lighting and natural ventilation, as well as integrating indoor plants to improve air quality and contribute to the softening of the atmosphere. On the other hand, sustainability imposes itself as an urgent necessity in all areas, including interior design. With increasing environmental challenges, museums are adopting design strategies that balance providing attractive and comfortable environments for visitors, and achieving environmental efficiency that ensures resource continuity and minimizes the negative impact on the planet. This research focuses on the intersection of sensory architecture with sustainability in the design of museum interiors, reviewing the role of this approach in improving the visitor experience on the one hand, and contributing to achieving sustainability goals on the other. It also reviews vivid examples from world-class museums, and offers innovative design insights that can be applied in future museum projects. Balancing the human and environmental dimension in museum design is not only a design challenge, but an opportunity to create unique cultural environments that enrich the lives of communities
